Siamese cats are a beautiful work of art that have been around since the 14th century. Siamese cats originate from Thailand and are one of the oldest oriental/Asian cat breed. Their original name was Siam, but it was later changed to Siamese. Theses cats have been around for over ten centuries and are continuing to grow their cat population. Siamese cats have a wide variety of characteristics. They are intelligent, curious, playful, affection and loud. Not to mention they have excellent, strong bonds with the others around them. Some of their more distinctive characteristics and features are their tanzanite-blue eyes and their blackish brown ears, paws, tail and mask. The tanzanite-blue eyes and the odd color placement of their body appears
mostly on seal point cats. Seal point cats have a gene mutation that that brings out the pigment on the cat, except for the coldest parts of the body. Siamese cats can also come in different shapes and sizes like Tabby, Smoke point, Wedgie, Applehead, seal point, blue point, lilac point and many more. Siamese cats minimal to no health concerns that aren't normal in most Siamese breeds. This is because of their mixed breed that has mostly heath genes in it. One condition Siamese cats have is convergent strabismus. This means that the siamese cats have a cross eyed gene in their DNA causing them to go cross eyed. Not every Siamese cat or bred has this defect due to less faults in selective breeding. Another health concern is they may have kinked tails. Also know as coccygeal hemivertebrae. Since siamese cats can come in different shapes and sizes, so can their tails. It has no harmful effect to the cat unless the cat's tail was not that way from birth, which could mean it broke its tail
