They are said to have a friendly temperament and is remarked for being attached to their owners. However, even with their friendly attitude and demeanor they can become very aggressive towards their territory. This is the fact that leads society to label them as a bad breed of dogs. I believe people fear these dogs because of the amount of force they have within their jaws and the strength they have in their shoulders and back muscles.…

Pit bulls and terrier breeds were created in early 19th century, for the popular spectator sports of bull- and bear-baiting. In 1898 the UKC, Britain's equivalent of the AKC, named these bull dogs the American Pit Bull Terrier. The AKC decided to recognize the breed in the early 1930s--but under a new name. Intending to separate it from its pit-fighting past, the AKC named it the American Staffordshire terrier, also known as a pit bull. These dogs have been used for protection not only in homes but in war, with the police and even with celebrities. Unfortunately, this same breed of dog now has a bad reputation, being called a vicious breed of dog and bully’s. I would have to disagree though, I believe that yes, there are some very mean pit bulls out there but there are also very nice and even famous ones. Not all pit bulls can be bad they aren’t born that way, they are raised that way. Saying a pit bull is born aggressive is kind of like saying a baby is born to hate.…
When Grendel fights Beowulf, the reader learns that the monster’s “time had come,” and he will soon die. What does this idea say about the Danish belief in fate? Write a short essay in which you show how the belief in destiny influences the thoughts and actions of the characters. Provide several other examples from Beowulf to support your position.I think Grendel would go back to Herot and want revenge. He would want to kill Beowulf for trying to kill him. Grendel would not like the fact the someone tried to stop him because he had been going to the hall for 12 years and no one could stop him.He would want to kill more Danes. Grendel is a monster and he expects people to be afraid of him and he wouldnt like it that Beowulf isn's scared. The best answer choice is B, becuase he drove alot of pain and suffering away when he had his battle with Grendel, because then the people didnt have to deal with Grendel going to the hall and killing people. When Grendel fights Beowulf, the reader learns that the monster’s “time had come,” and he will soon die. Today, I would like to take the time to refute the falsely made claims that have been made against the pit bull breed and provide you with some information and instances that will hopefully shed some light on their true character. We will be discussing the decline of the pit bull, the biggest pit bull fallacy, and the role the media has played in tainting the breed.…
Pit bulls have been portrayed as ferocious, dangerous and mean. Most people believe it is the dog’s natural personality and that they are born that way, but this is not true. Pit bulls are target dogs for abuse and dogfights. Their strong, muscular body and square jaw makes them attractive to dogfighters. The owners then train and abuse the dog to make them ferocious and mean. In fact, most of the canine abuse cases involve pit bulls. Labradors are as likely as pit bulls to be ferocious and mean.…
Dogs are known to be man's best friend. They are loving, caring, and are always protective over their owner. Some people say when you have a newborn in your home a dog will pretend the baby is theirs and will protect the baby forever. That seems nice of a dog to do this, but…
Students, Teachers, Ryan. There has been an issue going on for a long time. There are many dogs in America that are considered “unadoptable”. Most of which are pit bulls. As the Journalist Linda Wilson-Fuoco said “Pit bulls are famous, in circles of knowledgeable dog people, for the love and loyalty they bestow on anyone who shows them a smidgen of kindness.”…

The Mexican Gray Wolf once flourished and roamed the lands from México to Canada, but in the 20th there populations were severely dwindled and they now find themselves on the endangered list. The United States government approved a systematical eradication of the Mexican Gray wolf from the lower 48 states (Mexican 1999). During the 1800’s, westward expansion was rapidly moving across the US leading to the elimination of the larger mammals the wolves preyed upon. After some time, the depletion of the wolves hunting stocks forced the wolves to hunt livestock. Due to the wolves turning to livestock, they were hunted, poisoned, trapped, and shot down by bounty hunters. By the 1970’s, the Mexican Gray Wolf was placed under the protection of the Endangered Species Act. Sadly, by the time the Mexican Gray Wolf was placed under this Act, there were only a few hundred remaining in Minnesota (Gray Wolf 2007). Ever since the Endangered Species Act, efforts have been made to reintroduce the Mexican Gray Wolf back into its natural habitat (Mexican Gray Wolf 1999). In 1982, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service partnered with Mexico to establish measures and preserve the wild populations of the Mexican Gray Wolf in Mexico and areas of southwestern United States (Shoenecker 1997) The Mexican Gray Wolf reintroduction program has its pro’s and con’s, but is a serious debate that needs a final decision made immediately.…
Here are some characteristics that are unique to the Great Dane breed: Each and every Great Dane is truly an exceptional individual with his or her own distinct traits. They are known as “gentle giants” and this nickname could not be more accurate. Generally, it can be said that Great Danes are remarkably loyal towards their masters. They mostly show a preference towards one particular member of their household, but they love everyone and will protect their family. Before you run out and get one to protect your home, be advised that because of their temperament, they do not make suitable guard dogs. They are just too sweet and even tempered. Most people would not dream of breaking into a home with a Great Dane on the premises anyway. It is also extremely difficult, if not impossible, to keep Great Danes off of the furniture; it just cannot be done in some instances. If they do not actually get up on the furniture, they will literally back up and sit on your couch, chair, bed, even your lap, but it is quite comical to watch. They get along good with other pets as well as children. When raised with children the Great Dane will be very protective of them.…
