I used my contacts at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to guarantee we had the support of a reputable association. I contacted the federal, state and city governmental agencies that monitored groundwater for trustful information. I also had to make sure to engage and value the work of members and officers helping with the project I was leading. In the end, 30 members participated in this research and project, we experienced the most involvement our chapter had seen in many years.
I am proud to have led a campaign that ignited awareness within our community. We attracted 355 people in two different days at the museum, and surveying most of the attendees; results showed that the presented material new to 60 percent of our public, and 92 percent affirmed the were likely to take an action towards the groundwater problem. I believe I developed a project that helped our team-members to grow as public speakers from all the training I arranged - which was evidenced by the survey, where 85 percent of the attendees rated the speakers as engaging, while 96 percent rated the event as
