Silver Linings Playbook Character Analysis
Throughout the film Silver Linings Playbook, Pat Solitano( main character) is suffering with his bipolar disorder and was released from the mental health facility under certain conditions. Pat is challenged with trying to get his wife back and fixing his life. His wife was found cheating with a History professor which left Pat broken and angry. In life it is very important to overcome your personal hurts because it allows you to feel free and enjoy your life without feeling the hurt and depression in your mind. If you keep your hurts inside, you will never be able to trust others and open up to them to try to help you because you’re afraid that the hurt will keep growing inside of you. Another thing is if you hold the pain inside of yourself

    “Silver Linings Playbook” follows the story of Pat Solitano Jr. He is a former teacher who was recently released from a mental health facility after he was treated for Bipolar Disorder. His mother released him from the hospital after his minimum eight months. He was released against medical advice and on the terms that he lived with his mother and father and attends mandatory therapy sessions with a psychiatrist.
