Similarities between Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin
Hitler and Stalin: A Comparison

Both Hitler and Stalin were both military geniuses although their evils tend to heavily outweigh their good deeds. They were both expert propogandists and were amoral and willing to do whatever they could to better their country, they were also both quite paranoid and good strategists.

Their expert propoganda skills came into play to allow them to both attain and keep power. Hitler has been described as the world's greatest propogandist saying that he was nearly able to brainwash people with his words. Their propoganda skills were also the reason they were able to commit the atrocious acts they commited without being overthrown. It seems they were very smart to be able to control their people like this.

Another quality they both had in common was their complete and utter lack of morals. Hitler had no grief when he sent millions of Jews to concentration camps, nor did Stain feel any anguish as he killed thousands upon thousands of his fellow countrymen, both of these acts had another thing in common. They were both done for the good of the Mother/Fatherland. This shows that both men had extreme pride in their countries and would do literally anything to make them a stronger country although not necessarily a nicer place to live in.

Another similarity they had between them was their exteme paranoia, with Stalin eradicating most of his commanding officers shortly before WW2. Hitler was plagued with various mental illnesses and temporay spouts of blindness caused by a mustard gas injury he recieved in WW1. This caused Hitler to be quite suspicious of anyone.

While they were both very odd men, no one can say that were not extremely smart in the military operations, both of them running strong, effiecient militaries, which they used to conquer much of Europe, they were both quite found of infantry based warfare, Hitler invented the Blitzkrieg, or "lightning war" which he used to quickly capture a good chunk of Eureope. While Stalin

The Cambodian Genocide was lit up by a man named Saloth Sar, better known as Pol Pot. He was a Cambodian Revolutionary as well as the man who created a communist group known greatly as The Khmer Rouge. Pol Pot and Hitler are similar in this way because Hitler also created a political power party known as the Nazis. Both of these leaders were important dictators who created murderous groups. Additionally, this wasn't the only similarity between the two because Pol Pot and hitler both promised something they couldn't back up. Pol Pot promised a stable communist environment , while Hitler promised a big change in their country. Neither of them were actually doing this for the better, but rather for themselves because they both wanted to have absolute power. The difference between the two of them was that Pol Pot had attempted stability and communism by trying to isolate Cambodia, giving the subtle hint that he would rather be somewhat of an underdog and safe, rather than on top and over powerful. In this case, Hitler was the exact opposite. Hitler wanted to be on top; he wanted to be the top dog. He wanted to make Germany a better country but his view and their view were much different. Hitler didn't want to make it better for the less fortunate, he just wanted to make it better for the, already to be know as, higher class. Furthermore, the way Pol Pot and Hitler ran things were very different but in the long run, they both had the same outcome: world wide tragedy for everyone but themselves.…

Hitler commands the Germans to invade the Soviet Union in 1941 – this was Hitler’s greatest mistake, but was luck on the Soviets side or was it all just the leader Stalin’s good tactics and leadership? Even though Stalin was a mass murderer and a ruthless leader, he did one thing right. After the Soviets were losing battle after battle Stalin let his commanders fight the war as they knew it, did not interfere with their plan and stuck to his word, unlike Hitler did. Stalin let his commanders be true commanders and did not use them as puppets or for his own use. He was a true leader stuck to his word which is why I think the he was successful at leading his nation to victory. As the war continued the number of errors that Stalin was making got…

Although Hitler and Stalin both employed a special police force to help control the country under their totalitarian rule, Hitler’s force relied on having secret police everywhere while Stalin relied on having individuals report their friends and coworkers. To control citizens by spying on them and imprisoning them, Hitler employed the use of the Himmler’s SS and the Gestapo political police. The SS initially started off as Hitler’s personal bodyguards, but under Himmler’s command, they evolved into a more powerful force, who were eventually responsible for the Final Solution. The Gestapo, while somewhat similar to the SS, were Hitler’s secret police, who focused on taking down any opposing political opponents, primarily those who went underground after the creation of the one party system in Germany. The Gestapo were responsible for the capture and imprisonment of most opposing political leaders in Nazi Germany. According to the book on Germany, “Denouncers and…

Benito Mussolini was given power to take charge of the government because he was the best hope for the dynasty at the time for Italy. As soon as he was the leader, he abolished democracy and outlawed all political parties except the Fascists. He maintained power by creating the secret police, imposed censorship and travel restrictions, and kept close control of the economy. Joseph Stalin became the leader of the Soviet Union in 1929 because they were experiencing multiple revolutions and a civil war. He became a communist dictator; private farms were eliminated in favor of collective farms, millions of peasants were killed on his order, and he secured the Soviet control of the countryside. He maintained power by using interrogation and murder to intimidate his enemies and the general public. Adolf Hitler was a politician who volunteered for the German Army in World War I and was twice awarded the Iron Cross, a medal for bravery. The German brand of fascism was known as Nazism, it was supported by people in the middle and lower classes. Soon Hitler’s success as an organizer and speaker led him to be the leader of the Nazi party. Very quickly the Nazi’s became the largest political party. Hitler acted quickly to strengthen his position; his methods of control were fear and intimidation. He banned unions and other political parties, conducted secret trials, and persecuted enemies. He made anti-Semitism an official policy (blamed Jews for all of Germany’s problems) and made clear the Germans were the master race, “Aryans”. The rise of totalitarian dictators was one of the supreme changes in the history of the world since the…

Post war Germany was certainly no utopia; there was famine, depression, anarchy and social upheaval. The general citizens were all desperately searching for someone to take charge of the situation, and someone did, the Nazi party. The Nazi party was able to gain power for a number of reasons; they used the last Weimar government’s mistakes to their advantage, they also used their current state of economic troubles to leverage people on to their side, but they also used the help of a man, Hitler; they used Hitler’s charismatic personality to gain popularity with the masses, the majority of people thought Hitler sounded like the only man to lead them out of their financial troubles, and their embarrassment after loosing the first world war. On paper Hitler looked great too; firstly Hitler was a war hero, having won two iron crosses in the First World War, he was opportunistic and got many disillusioned people to believe in Germany again by offering a way out of the depression furthermore he was passionate about his country and its dignity, determined to tear up the much loathed treaty of Versailles. To match his strong views he was also a strongly motivating public speaker who could engage even some of his most harsh critics. The Nazi party gained much support from the appeal of Hitler’s personality; they were able to use him to enforce the Nazi beliefs and ideals to the everyday person. The people were so enraptured by him that the Nazi party gained further power from his popularity.…
