Similarities Between Ancient Egypt And China
Both the ancient Egyptians and Chinese made writing a major part of today’s society, although the Egyptians started using writing first. The Egyptians had great building skills with the pyramids and with the Sphinx; hence how well structured they are still today. Ancient Egypt was way before the time of the canals system and how they constructed giant statues of their gods. Meanwhile a couple thousand years later China was trying to get ahead of the game, with numbers and symbols representing what we consider as their kind of hieroglyphics, I mean to me they are hieroglyphics.
Their kinds of technology they used their kind of canal systems and water ways to make sure their crops and plants had water to use, while also making storage systems

The four River Valley Civilizations were alike in some ways but they were very different to. The writing system is one of the many ways to tell how all four civilizations are different from each other. In Sumer, they had a writing system with the purpose to spread information & culture. Where in Egypt they created pictograms & it was a very simple form of writing. Later they evolved & created hieroglyphics. India, had the most complex writing system out of all four civilizations. China, in my opinion had a weird way of writing, they wrote on what they called dragon bones. In the late 1800’s two scholars found out the bones had scratches which had a big part in decoding ancient writing. In the four examples they had very different purposes for writing, even though we don’t know how to decode ancient India's writing I think that there writing system was somewhat like the Egyptians because they were really powerful like the Egyptians. Since the dawn of time, technology has been present and has always been a major factor of civilization. The Sumerians invented a material that has forever changed the world; Bronze thus the Sumerians marked the Bronze Age. I believe that this invention caused the Sumerians to become much more powerful but also be a target for many people. Many wars were caused over time for resources like bronze for…

They also shared a common belief in tomb building for their rulers and placed objects in Tombs for use in the afterlife. While both cultures had similarities, the Egyptians were far advanced in their engineering and building of tombs, and monuments, artwork, and understanding of mathematics, and astronomy. The hierarchy of ancient China and India were similar with a noticeable sign of select individuals being considered “higher” than others. The caste system was strict in India and prohibited other classes from interacting with each other. China’s social system differed from India’s caste system, by not demonstrating a formal and strict social ladder. Where in India there existed over three hundred sub castes at one point, China had a simple three caste social ladder. Although the Chinese did not have as strong of a social ladder, there still existed “higher” people such as the bureaucrats. Bureaucrats and landowners were considered to be of a higher class then peasants, farmers, and merchants. Patriarchy was a very big factor in culture and social order in China and India. India’s strict caste system led to a more “flexible” and popular religion known as Hinduism. Many Indians preferred this religion over Buddhism, which the Chinese practiced, because the brahmans or priests strongly influenced the population. Brahmans and many other Indians did not like the idea of any being of any caste level achieving “peace” by their efforts, which Buddhism taught. The Chinese believed in Buddhism and reaching nirvana by finding peace within. A major difference between Indian and Chinese culture was that Indians lived to die and reincarnate to a better caste level and eventually reaching the gods, whereas the Chinese lived a good life with no rituals necessary to find nirvana. Although the Chinese and Indian culture was very different, both races strived and lived in balance to find their gift in the…

A similarity that both civilizations held in regards to politics would be the role, or lack thereof one, that women played within their respective governments. China’s economy was focused on the internal trade and technological advancements while agriculture, trade, and slavery made the foundation for Greece’s. However, the two shared a link within whom they traded with as well as both civilizations relied strongly on agriculture. It is known to be one of the earliest forms of writing that can be translated, which began thousands of years ago and is still used today. Chinese calligraphy was invented and developed by the ancient Chinese who used the innovation as a method of written communication.
