Beethoven had arrived in Vienna in 1792 to study composition with Haydn. Mozart and Hayden were the two most influential people on Beethoven’s musical style. In comparison Haydn and Mozart, Beethoven had a later start to writing symphony music at the age of…
Johann Sebastian Bach in my opinion was one of the best composers in the Baroque era. Sebastian had many complex songs. He was considered a master of polyphonic music. He knew how to blend the different voices together and how to make them both distinct.…
The greatest composer who ever lived was Ludwig van Beethoven. He knew music spoke to the heart, creating emotions, no other language could. Beethoven conveyed his feeling through the power of his music and wasn’t scared to enter unfamiliar territory when it came to his work. People weren’t used to the type of music he brilliantly composed during his time and succeeded against all odds when he lost his hearing. One of my favorite time periods was from 1803 through 1814 which was referred to as “the middle period”. This was a time period Beethoven experimented with his music leading him to change his composition style by incorporating more Romantic ideas leading him to compose songs like Symphony Number Three Eroica and One of my favorites Fifth Symphony.…
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 31, 1685 in Eisenach, Saxe-Eisenach to the director of town musicians, Johann Ambrosius Bach, and his wife, Maria Elisabeth Lämmerhirt. He was the eighth child to be born in the family and was around music since he was a child. His uncles were all professional musicians and historians assume that his older brother taught him violin and basic musical theory when he was very young. Little did his family know, he would eventually become one of the most well known composers in history.…
He is one of the greats when it comes to composer and artist in music history. He gave us some of the greatest compositions in history that has stood the test of time because we are still listening to them, studying them, and enjoying them today. He was no child prodigy, he got his skills and talents from hard work and practice and that is just one of the many things about Bach that we can look back on and admire. He is one of the greatest pianist and organist to have ever played and it takes a very talented musician to play his works. He has inspired other very famous musicians of music history like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and still inspires musicians today in 2016, hundreds of years after his life. That is why I think Bach is…
These two composers had an element of their personal emotions in their music that served as creative inspiration. Haydn was said to have been a very pleasant and humorous, yet emotionally expressive person which was reflective in his upbeat and humorous compositions. Beethoven was said to have been very arrogant and had shown his mentor Haydn very little respect. Beethoven gradually became deaf and deeply depressed. In 1819, Beethoven’s deafness was total, yet he continued composing brilliant pieces of music. His scores have large amounts of corrections and changes; unfortunately his deafness forced him to rely on his memory of sound. As stated by Greenberg (2011): “We hear Haydn’s personality in his music: his joie de vivre, his emotional balance, and especially his marvelous sense of humor” (p 133). Ludwig Van Beethoven “an unhappy man of genius whose investment in the status quo-in the classical style-was minimal at best. Beethoven’s volcanic personal issues required an outlet, and that outlet was his music”…

During his lifetime, Johann Sebastian Bach was famous as a virtuoso organist rather than as a composer. His works conveyed a sense of beauty and creativity that few can rival. Bach's use of counterpoint was brilliant and innovative, and the immense complexities of his compositional style -- which often included religious and numerological symbols that seem to fit perfectly together in a profound puzzle of special codes -- still amaze musicians today. Many consider him the greatest composer of all time.…

The birth of symphonies opened up a whole new world that is still very much enjoyed in modern times. Ludwig van Beethoven was the next emerging artist who was born in Germany during the age of the enlightenment. Very much like Mozart, Beethoven worked with the classical styles of music but explored by molding them into new directions. The scope of his musical talent was huge compared to more classical musicians. Beethoven’s work was popular for the dramatic effect it left on the audiences.…
Johan Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany on March 31, 1685. Bach had prestigious musical lineage and took multiple organist positions during the eighteenth century, creating famous pieces such as “Toccata and Fugue in D minor,” also, and “Mass in B Minor,” The “Brandenburg Concertos and “The Well-Tempered Clavier” Bach came from a family of musician. At age seven, Bach went to school where he received religious studies and Latin studies and others courses. His faith would improve his later musical works. At the age of ten, Bach discovered to be an orphan after the death of both of his parents. Johann Sebastian Bach (J.S. Bach) is considered to be the father of music for many reasons. He was the greatest Baroque composer, arguably the greatest composer of all times. He developed the modern piano lessons we use today, and developed helping book to strengthen both hands equally to play the piano. He wrote thousands of compositions, and simplified the way we compose music. He is the reason the piano became popular over the harpsichord. He was brilliant and innovated the way we read and see music today.…
Johann Sebastian Bach was one of the greatest composers in history. “People felt his music and art helped protect people against the advance of doubt bred by the renaissance ideas of scientific, rational inquiry.”(The World Book Encyclopedia 2012. Chicago, IL: World Book, 2012. Print). He bought music techniques such as Counterpoint (playing of two or more melodies at one time) and Fugue(where different instruments repeat the same melody with slight variation) to their greatest heights. He wrote nearly 300 religious and non-religious choral work called Cantatas. The purpose of this project is to analyze the two-movements of Bach, Preludes, and Fugues to find out if there are any mathematical patterns in these pieces.…
