The two paintings Cooling off by the Riverbank , and In the Omnibus were made in different places from different artist. Cooling off by the Riverbank was made by Kitagawa Utamaro from Japan. However, the other picture was made by Mary Cassatt who is from America. Because of these reasons, both pictures have many differences from each other. For example, figure in the pictures are wearing dissimilar clothes with different styles. Also, in the Kitagawa Utamaro’s picture, two women are walking by the river with a boy. In contrast, women are sitting on something with infant in In the Omnibus. However, there are also many similarities. In both pictures , two women are going somewhere with a boy. One of the women is taking care of the child
