The never ending argument of God’s existence that has been around for years comes up again between Craig and Dacey. Craig present 5 arguments for God’s existence and I think the strongest point that he made out of all the five is that God is the best explanation of why something exist rather than nothing. Craig explains this point by breaking down the idea that if something exist, it must exist by its own nature or it must have an external cause. And as we know the universe, it seems plausible that it must have a designer, a transcended being which is known as God. This is similar to the idea of infinite cause and finite being that we see in Descartes. If we trace back every finite thing, the only way we can stop is by coming to an infinite being. This is why I think this is Craig’s strongest argument for God’s existence. …show more content…
Although his explanation of this point is very understandable, I think it is very weak point for a debate such as this because this point seems a little theological rather than philosophical. The non-believers the room are going to assume that he is being very bias on that point, and even if he was, it is not very appropriate for it because I think to fully understand his argument for God’s existence in that fifth point, one needs to already have faith in
