One of the major differences between the book and the film is that in the film Freak dies in his sleep on christmas but in the book he dies in the hospital after having a stroke. I believe that the book of Freak the Mighty was better than the movie. A similarity between the two is that Max still realized he was smart without Freak. Because of Freak’s death, Max realized he could do things on his own, and he wrote a book all by himself. The book had way more details than the movie. While in the book Freak had a seizure and goes to the hospital, the movie had Freak die in his sleep.…

While these similarities show what these pieces have incommon Freak the Mighty and The Mighty still have differences that make them distinctive. Although the characters have the same names, I have got to say there appearance was definitely incorrect. In the book Max was said to be 7 feet tall, while Kevin was said to be 2 feet tall. In the movie Max was about 6 feet and Kevin was the height of an average 6th grader at Eldorado K-8 ( about 4”6’). Kevin was supposed to have blond hair and blue eyes ( the movie gave him brown eyes and brown hair) while Maxes appearance was not clear in the book. Additionally, in the book, Kevin and Max seemingly lived in suburbia while the movie gave the impression they lived in much more of a city. For example, the old testaments seemed much bigger and better-looking than described in the book ( broken toys and ragged and dirty children who seemed a little broken themselves). The minor problem in plot detail is a third difference. In the movie, Kevin is apparently Max’s LD…

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight has many examples of chivalry in it. One of those examples is when Sir Gawain takes the challenge presented to King Arthur. This is an example of the first part in the Code of Chivalry. This same event is also an example of the second part of the Code of Chivalry, responsibility to the king. The Code of Chivalry states that knights are to have respect for the Christian faith. This is shown by the reference to God. Being generous is also a part of the code. King Arthur shows this with the party he is throwing. The code also says that knights should be brave in battle; Sir Gawain shows this bravery by standing in front of the Green Knight…

Medieval times were a time when honor was valued above all other qualities. All knights, the highest models of medieval manhood, adhered to a code of chivalry. When properly followed, this code allowed men to be truly honorable. Among the qualities most highly esteemed were integrity, loyalty, and courage. The clearest examples of chivalry were King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The Pearl Poet vividly illustrates the concepts of chivalry in his epic poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, where Sir Gawain is characterized as a very honorable, chivalrous knight. Throughout the poem, Gawain’s unceasing commitment to his code of chivalry provides a protection against, thus proving the value and necessity of chivalry.…

This tale displays the importance of chivalry in knighthood. Chivalry was shown in the story through the deeds of the Greek knight Theseus. Theseus displayed virtuosity throughout the story. An example of this is the time where he saw the wounded Arcite and Palamon, who are Theban soldiers. Instead of killing the two, being soldiers belonging to an enemy, he decided to spare their lives, but in one condition: they were to be imprisoned for life on a tower.…
