Similarities Between Hamlet And The Lion King
Hamlet and The Lion King are different because Hamlet wanted revenge on Claudius and Simba blame himself for this father death. During the play the ghost tells hamlet what happen to his father and tells him that he needs to get revenge on Claudius. Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder. (Shakespeare I.iii.25) But know thou noble youth,/The serpent that did sting thy father’s life/ Now wears the crown. (Shakespeare I.iii.38-40) The movie and the play are different because hamlet wants revenge in the beginning. Simba doesn’t want revenge until the end of the movie when Scar tells him that he killed Mufasa. Even though they both killed their uncle they want revenge at different times. In the process of completing their tasks their uncles also poisoned their mothers, leaving them without any parents. Although their journeys sound quite similar so far, they also have many differences.
