present the viable documents or in case the immigrant has any suspicious background, he is deported back to his country. Here we can understand what Deportation is. Deportation is the act of sending those people back to their country who do not provide sufficient information about their background to the officials or are found involved in any activity which is illegal and is suspicious. The deportation can be done both ways, with or without the consent of the people. It is an individual's decision to opt for immigration but the government of that particular country decides whether that person will be allowed to stay in their country or not. One needs to present genuine information and details for the completion of legal formalities.
Immigration to the United States is constantly becoming difficult for Mexican people as America has closed its borders to a large extent after the suspicious border activities. The security measures have been levelled up resulting in rise in difficulties for the Mexican people. Mexico has contributed a large number of immigrants to the United States of America. There are many measures that have been taken to stop the people from migrating to the uS but it was of no use. The migration does not seem to end. In fact there were thousands of people who were deported back to Mexico without their consent but that too did not help. The statistical analysis of the migration data reveals that the process will continue in near future despite of all the steps that are being taken.
One big factor affecting the process of immigration is gender based labor division. Females are more in demand for jobs like house-keeping, baby-sitting and care-taking etc. Hence they have better population and due to their demand in various parts of the world, they are migrated a lot more and have an easy pass through the security.
If we consider civil and human rights in the context of Immigration and deportation, there are many flaws in the United States' government policy.
People who have gone through the process of migration and immigration formalities have complained at large about the mistreatment by the officials. Useless questioning and harsh behavior is a common complaint coming from people who tried the process. The officials often treat the people badly and they do not respect the nationality of the immigrants. This s abig drawback and violation of the human right to justice. On the other hand, deportation also suffers with the same issues. People who are being deported are not given proper attention and they are not even treated as human. They are treated wrongly and officials are very much abusive to
them.
There is another point that needs to be discussed here which is the Prison-Industrial complex. The private prisons keeps the inmates with them and they employ these people into different indoor or outdoor jobs under constant supervision (Briggs, John.1978). Their work contributes to the development of the country in some way and this has become an industry in itself. People who are jailed are made to put in their efforts into something constructive and make their efforts worth. But this act too suffers from many shortcomings. These prisoners are not treated well. Most of the inmates are kept under inhuman conditions where they are not provided even the basic necessities of life. They are poorly paid and mistreated.
If we refer to these processes in terms of the US constitution, we will find that the US does not have a particular clause for the same but yes, it does bilieve in an open-immigration procss but only after sound background checks. The policies, however need to be revised and looked upon properly in order to make the whole process a little more flexible. Of course we should never ignore the importance of the safety measures but the formaliies being done in a rectified manner will make it easier for the people to get access to the countries of their wish. The immigration and deportation authorities should be taught to treat the people well and consider the genuine issues with respect and rectify them. It will lead to the establishment of the country's reputation as a compassionate yet strong one.
