He wanted to be king and he was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen even betraying one of his closest friends “The deal is closed. His conscious felt bad at first yet in the end he was able to bury it and become cold, willing to do whatever was needed to retain his power and crush any opposition. He was heavily influenced by others, and he may have been very intelligent yet, even he didn’t always think things through. Macduff knew that Macbeth could not remain in power. Macbeth was paranoid always afraid that someone was attempting to take his throne.Macduff on the other hand was straight to the point, respectful, and truthful.
