men. Here we see scientific exploration and innovation pushing nature so far that
the animals and humans are scarcely natural anymore. As Crake insists that hiscreation of the Crakers is actually natural and a part of nature, we can see how far
the society had gotten away from actually knowing what is and is not natural.
Despite Crake’s assertion, Snowman constantly questions whether or not the
Crakers are actually human. He often stands as a voice of reason in the novel, but no
one seems to listen to him.
Although several themes can be taken away from the novel, something that
