Definition of nursing practice The Professional Nursing Law for Pennsylvania (1985, 21.1, para I), describes nursing as “treating human responses” to health issues and also operating under various capacity as health advocate and care planning and also providing supportive care to physicians and other personnel. It does not include any prescribing of medication or corrective procedures.
The Texas Nurse Practice Act (2013 sec.301.002, para 2), likens the practice to an “art”. It involves a specific knowledge and education about the scientific aspects of the body. It involves assessment, …show more content…
a) states that a nurse wanting to renew their license must do “30 hours of continuing education.” Any nurse who fails to complete the required hours will not be able to practice as a nurse until the continued education is complete and their license in renewed. The Professional Law (2015, 21.133) 11states that hours can be filled with anything that is related to nursing practice and the nursing profession, like grief and dying, pharmacology and patient rights.
