A bystander at the scene has reported that shortly after Mercutio’s death, Tybalt returned for an unknown reason.
The bystander has stated that Romeo was furious and swore revenge against Tybalt. Romeo then grabbed his dagger and stabbed Tybalt several times all over his
body. The Prince of Verona sent out a statement today saying, “This time, two young men are dead and one of them is my cousin, Mercutio. This is all because of the brutal rivalry between the Capulets and Montagues. Our authorities came to know that Tybalt started the fight and killed Mercutio, therefore, Romeo killed Tybalt. Tybalt has paid his price and now there are serious circumstances for Romeo. I sentence Romeo Montague to be banished. I want him out of Verona by sunrise tomorrow, if this is not done Romeo will be executed.” The Capulets are reported to be threatening vengeance. They have asked for more action to be taken against Romeo Montague as their only nephew had passed away. There are speculations why the fight started. The reason being the annual masquerade ball by the Capulets crashed by Romeo Montague. A member present at the ball overheard Tybalt Capulet swearing revenge against Romeo. The rivalry between the families has lasted too long. A man by the name of Friar Lawrence was heard saying, “How long am I going to live to witness conflict from these two families?”
The feud between the Capulets and the Montagues has lasted a long time. Even Mercutio Escalus last words were, “I wish a plague on you two families.” Could this family feud spill more blood?
