In Chapter 8 Hassan, Amir's servant's son, wanted to listen to a story under a pomegranate tree. Then before he could start reading Amir started to hurled a few pomegranates and shouting at Hassan to hit him back. This book was entertaining and suspenseful which are two qualities I look for in a book. Not only should a book be informing and education, it should also be enjoyable to read or else no one would want to read it. The Color Purple made me feel uncomfortable and made form a large amount of opinions and sometimes got me angry. The Color Purple did have inappropriate parts that have never read in books before therefore being uncomfortable. Also during these inappropriate parts there was abuse and sexual abuse. And because I am a young black girl as well as Celie I was infuriated with how helpless and afraid she
