Similarities Between This Modern World And Asma Ahmed Shikoh

Commentaries each can have many differences and many similarities. Tom Tomorrow’s “This Modern World” and Asma Ahmed Shikoh’s work proves this statement. Tom Tommorrow’s “This Modern World” is about the tragedy of 9/11. Asma Ahmed Shikoh’s work shows her life when she moved to New York. In every two artist you compare there will always be similarities and differences. There a multiple similarities between these two highly talented artists. The major similarity that stuck out to me is that they are both show how our world has changed. Tomorrow’s shows the devastation 9/11 caused on our country. 9/11 has made citizens realize that terrorist attacks are serious. Also, our security has update trying to not allow certain people on airplanes. Shikoh’s pieces described how fast food and technology is progressing in the United States. This is important because if you don’t know the meaning of the art then normally you aren’t as interested. Shiikoh’s art is more detailed by pictures so the viewer can imagine what the art piece is about. The vibrant colors get the emotion of the artist across. If the pictures where in black and white the viewer wouldn’t feel the different emotions. This is because each color makes the brain think of different stuff for example blue is a sad, depressing feeling. Since there are many similarities and differences between these artists it truly makes them unique. Tom Tommorrow and Asma Ahmed Shikoh are great artist to compare.
