In today's world our ideas and our daily life are have morphed and adapted to society’s constant modernization. in the early 19th century a philosophy called transcendentalism started. Transcendentalism then and now promotes intuitive, spiritual thinking instead of scientific thinking based on material things. These ideas were presented through Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden” in the romantic period of literature. Thoreau emphasizes the idealistic thought that cutting technology out of today’s life is all around beneficial for the mind and body.
