Similarities Between William Shakespeare And Anne Bradstreet
“Love,” is a vague word for a complex emotion. Love can be described in numerous ways, but its intensity can be understood only by those who experience it. William Shakespeare and Anne Bradstreet are two authors that poetically illustrate the meaning of love. William Shakespeare’s “Let me not to the marriage of true minds” and Anne Bradstreet’s “To My Dear and Loving Husband” are both canonical love poems that express a similar theme of love and devotion. The approach and style that each author takes is uniquely his and her own and is formulated from a different point of view. Both poems reveal a personal and intimate interpretation of what love is, but “Let me not the marriage of true minds,” takes an intellectual, yet passionate approach
