Imagine a boy taking charge when in need to help, Picture a boy that gets picked on for his size difficulties, Envision a 12 year old boy with the boldness to save harmless kids on a drowning bus, regardless of his disabilities. Simon Birch always stood as a very courageous and compelling character throughout his strenuous life. This is why Simon Birch is the most powerful role in the film “Simon Birch” because he is always faithful towards god, shows a great amount of bravery incessantly, despite his size, and is a very loyal and respectful friend towards Joe.
First, Simon is very faithful towards god. For example, Simon is known as a faithful person because he always believed that he was made the way he is for a special reason upcoming in the future. He also believed that god had a plan for everyone else, and most kids labeled Simon as ‘freaky’ for believing this. Simon thought even harder about the situation because nobody listened and believed what he was saying. Simon always went to his nearby church despite the repulsive people who work there and criticize him all the time. He went not because he had too, but because he wanted to know more about the secret god had for him later in life. Besides the fact that Simons parents didn’t care for going to church, Simon still went without a doubt. Simon showed great faithfulness throughout his life, besides the fact that nobody helped him figure out the real truth when he needed it the most.
Secondly, Simon has always been very brave in times of great need. For example, Simon had the courageousness to save all of the little kids on the bus when it was sinking, beside Joe with extra help. This showed that he has huge bravery because he took charge of the whole bus and got them to listen to his directions, then Simon and Joe directed all of them off safely. Additionally, Simon had the valor to break into the office with Joe, not because he wanted to, but because he wanted to be a loyal
