Simon's Monologue
I’ve been living in the same house for as long as I can remember. My parents are what you might call “overprotective” and have never left me and my little sister, Maya home alone before.
They think I’m still too young. I am 15 years old. I even had a talk with my parents and told them I could watch Maya if they wanted to go somewhere. My parents just brush it off by laughing and they say “come on Lily, you’re too young to be home alone and watching other kids.” Those talks with my parents always made me very angry. One night my parents came up to me and said that they had to go to a funeral and they didn’t want us going because they didn’t want us thinking about death. We always have my grandma come and watch us whenever my parents

“So..” said the guy “My name is Simon, but I’d rather have you call me Dan”. My sister and I looked at each other awkwardly because we both were thinking the same thing. Why would he rather be called Dan? It’s nothing close to sounding like the name Simon.
“I have been a babysitter for quite a while now and I always want the children I watch to help their parents out a little bit while they’re gone and clean around the house.” Dan continues saying. Does he think our house is that messy? My sister and I thought it was a strange idea but my parents trust us to listen to whoever’s watching us, so we did exactly what he asked. I cleaned upstairs while my sister cleaned downstairs. After a long couple hours of cleaning, my sister and I wanted to watch TV. I picked up the remote and right before I pressed the on button Dan snatched the remote out my hand.
“What was that for” I screamed. “Well I don’t think you children should be staying inside all day because it’s a wonderful day today to play outside” Dan responded. Maya and I then looked out the window to see how the weather was today and noticed that the leaves were rustling and the rain was trickling on the windows. There was no way Maya and I were going to play in that weather. “It’s definitely not good weather today” I spoke

Blood is a fascinating hue. It’s sometimes crimson, scarlet, ruby red, or even bold red. Crimson is the stain that’s painted on my fingers, since I just accomplished a mission-to murder Simon Krell, who continued torturing his family members on a daily basis. Although he continued being a dangerous man, it was so simple to kill him that it occurred to be laughable, all the acting skills I needed was to pretend to act alike his maid and suddenly shoot the filthy person. As I laughed, my storm eyes gazed at the glowing sky that had waves of gleaming dots on it. A silver ellipse remained framed in the inky sky, supported with millions of winking balls of fire.…

My parents think they can see through my lies and bull crap excuses so I had to make it believable. The easiest thing about all of this was that I have a daughter, which means that she has daycare and doctor’s appointments to be at. I also have a job that I have to be on time for, and depending on my parents to get me to work is not always the fun option for them. I had to consider my advantages and disadvantages of the situation. The hard part about the whole discussion with my mom and dad was that I had to avoid the disadvantages of me getting a car. Like gas, insurance, and the maintenance cost of owning a vehicle. So I had to arrange my argument to where they wouldn’t ask me questions about any of…

I look out the window and notice the fog covering the view of my cousin’s backyard. It was the day after a huge tornado of rain and wind had gone through my cousin’s house. The weather outside was chilly from the rain yesterday but still warm enough to be summer. I stood up from the bed, my legs screaming for help…

Bottom Bun: Parents are responsible for what happens to their children, but there are some things they cannot control. I don’t have any younger siblings or children, but I did have a cousin that was obsess with McDonalds. Whenever he was watching television, a McDonalds commercial would come out showing a new toy they had. He would cry until his mom would take him to get the toy with a happy meal. Even when my mom had to take care of him, he would cry and nag until my mom took him and we don’t even like McDonalds.…

The Central concern of Lord of the flies is the conflict between two competing impulses that exist within both characters. This shows in Ralph and Jacks violence when Ralph wanted to keep the fire going where as jack wanted to devote everything to hunting. This going through the entire novel of these two always having problems with how they do things compared to the other. “Kill the beast! Cut his throat!spill his blood!” This is where Golding showed the breaking point of all the boys stuck on this remote but stranded island. This was the main quote out of the novel to show Simons death. Goldings interpretation of the conflict was him as Ralph and jack as a school bully he once knew and how he survived through tough times in the war. A connection…

It’s a typical view of family relationships as the son and daughter always need to listen to their parents, they don’t even have any freedoms. For me, my mum is the typical mother too. She always force me to do the thing she wants, like she asked me to study in Canada despite I truly wanted to stay in Hong Kong. What a ridiculous! Also, she is annoying too. I’m seventeen now so I’m not a kid anymore, I know what I should do or shouldn’t, but she would still ask me to sleep when it is 11p.m. only or tell me this vegetables and that vegetables are healthy but she never know I don’t like vegetables.…
