Six Factors of Lifestyle
Careers – Six Factors Of Lifestyle Julia Medina 1. Personal choices 2. Free time 3. Friends 4. Work 5. Family 6. Religion
Personal choices can include where you want to live, your relationships, what you eat, what you own- all the things I value most. Independence and personal choices are very important to me and my life. I really like having the freedom to make my own decisions and make my own path. Ten years from now, I expect to be living not to far from where I am now, because I don’t know yet if I could handle a big change like moving somewhere far. I hope to make strong, lasting friendships that will shape my life for the better. I hope to be eating healthier, to live a longer life. And I hope to have everything I need, without being spoiled. Personal choices can be a big part of a person’s life, and I hope to make the right ones.
Free time can be spent doing whatever one wants, whether it be a sport, puzzle, or doing nothing at all. Ten years from now, I want to have free time, so I can sort out, relax, and think about what I really need and what I want from life. Without leisure time, I become very stressed and emotional, which makes it hard for me to concentrate on anything, so this is important to me. Ten years from now, I hope I have just enough free time to really enjoy life, instead of overworking myself. Friends can guide you and shape your life, so it’s important to meet the right people, and choose carefully. Ten years from now, I really hope I have strong, and trusting friendships that last. When I have questions or need advice, one of the first places I go is to my friends for support. So for me, friendships are important. I like knowing I have a safety net backing me up, and getting to help them when they’re in need.
Work can ultimately decide your income, and thus, a big majority of your life. Ten years from now, I hope to be doing something I enjoy- a career and not just a temporary job. I hope to be working in a

Friendship is a very powerful word. As children are growing up, their parents and family give them a taste of what friendship really is all about. Starting at a young age, it is smart for parents to teach children the significance of friendship. A friend should be someone who tells the other individual when they are doing wrong. They should influence them to do good, give them a shoulder to cry on, and be that person to talk to when sad. Friendships change over time as you move from childhood to adulthood, however, friendship exists in the positive relationships a person builds.…

Being a friend means to others influences the things I do and the way that I behave. Being around my friends shapes my identity just as much as my family does, possibly to an even greater extent. As I have aged, I have found that not all friendships can endure the test of longevity, and that I would much rather have friendships with people who are as goal oriented and driven as myself. All of my friends are ambitious, and they motivate me with their kind acts and words of encouragement. Everyday I grow as an individual, I become more aware an educated and I will continue to become more enlightened until the day that I no longer exist. My older sister always told me, "your friends are the family you're able to choose, so might as well choose them…

For me, each year changes especially the fact that I’m a go-with-the-flow type of person. But if I had a vision, it’d be something like. 10 years from now I hope will be out of my day job, I have paid all my student loans back and I’m working and enjoying what I do online. Of course, the reasons we all want to work for ourselves is the luxury of being your own boss, the flexibility with your own schedule, etc. I want to be able to travel with just my laptop and still be able to make money anywhere I go. Who doesn’t want to just relax in Hawaii on a beach with your laptop and a mojito? See, I have all these thoughts and dreams on where I see myself every few years and although it may not happen exactly how I want, I’m still working on it. I make a list and every time I accomplish a goal, I cross it off and add a new one. I do that because I don’t want to settle for less, but more importantly, I don’t want to forget some of my goals. Again, some goals change but the general theme tends to stay the same. I may not see myself making millions but if I’m at a job that I can enjoy and appreciate then that’s a stepping stone. I may not see myself married but if I’m with a special person then you’ll continue to see a cheesy smile on my face. I may… well, you get the point, right?…
