This achievement taught me how to keep trying without giving up, once my skills improved at riding my skateboard, I kept trying new things more often. Pushing myself to become a better skateboarder. Another thing that kept me motivated was the skill behind it. Not many people know how to ride and do tricks on a skateboard, therefore I went after a challenge that would superior myself compared to others in the skateboarding sense at least.
Another important value that skateboarding taught me about myself was the fact that pain is only temporary and that after the pain the rewards start coming in.
After hundreds of attempts that felt like thousands, awaiting on improving was my only hope. Weeks later, my skills had improved and my hard work was starting to pay off.
My hard work taught me a very important lesson, to believe in myself, to keep trying and that pain is temporary. Accomplishing this helps me to this day with any type of problem that I come across. After many different attempts of failure, I was able to finally ride a skateboard. This convinced me that if you work hard enough you will achieve whatever you want.
