Slavery: A Narrative Analysis
Today my husband had an unsatisfactory day at the market. My husband, Oliver, just told me that he found out that the price of wheat decreased at the market, so the Aarons, the people who work a segment of our farmland, still owed us money for the food and medicine we supplied them with. Many other farmers had increased wheat growth this year, so wheat was easier to get, causing the price to drop. I tried to convince Oliver to give them some money, but he said that they made a deal as well as a commitment to pay us back for what we gave them.
