A cell phone can produce many distractions in the classroom. Loud ringtones and musical noises can easily cause a huge disturbance by calls, notifications, games, or text messages. If allowed, students would take full advantage of the use of their cell phones. Students could answer phone calls or reply to text messages at any given time during class. With today’s technology, the everyday cell phone has actually been transformed into a miniature computer. Now these cellular devices come with many more sources of entertainment along with internet capabilities. The capability of downloading games and applications would become more of a worry for the students than learning the lesson that class is providing that day. With all of these distractions a cell phone provides, any lesson would turn into hell for both the teacher and the students who actually intend to do something.…

Have you ever wondered why you can’t focus in class or why you didn’t score high on your Algebra exam? Well, my answer to that is because cell phones are distracting them from concentrating in elementary school, middle school, high school and even college. For instance, there are teenagers that text during class and that is not the right thing to do if the student wants to learn. For that reason, a lot of students do a horrible job in school because they get addicted at texting and using social networking sites or playing online games in the Internet. Teenagers should use their brains and realize that their education comes first before anything and they shouldn’t let technology distract them from reaching their goal. Phones are useful but teenagers shouldn’t use them as if their lives depended on them especially in school.…

In today’s society, smart phones are a part of a student’s average, everyday life. No matter what people are doing, they find time to look at their phone and make a call, read a text, check e-mails, or search something on Google. Even though people find so many uses for them throughout the day, they are a controversial subject to talk about in their use in the classroom. Many schools have policies strictly prohibiting the use of smart phones in school. For schools to ban the use of smart phones is a major mistake. They only look at cell phones as a distraction to students, and don’t understand that this generation is dependent on the technologies of today. What educators need to do is ask themselves how they can incorporate the technology of today in the class room so they can see what positive effects smart phones have on education.…

The continued advances in micro-electronic circuits have recently made the rapid development of mobile and personal communication system possible.
