Smoking can be considered as one of the most dangerous habits in an
individual. Statistics shows every year hundreds of thousands of people around
the world die cause by cigarettes. Besides that, statistics also shows that about 9
out of 10 tobacco users start before they’re 18 years old. Most of the smokers
died at middle age due to their smoking habit. They are effects on smoking such
as health diseases, addiction , and financial problems.
The chemicals in the cigarettes will effects the human body such as nicotine,
tar, and tobacco. These will effect the lungs, bronchi, and the heart in our human
body. Furthermore, smoking can cause lung cancer and also many other diseases
illness. Smoking causes death every year and about 42,800 people died from
smoking-related cancers. In addiction, smoking causes the fat deposits to narrow
in your body which results in blocking your blood vessels and which causes
heart attack. Therefore, smoking is very dangerous in every aspect of life. In
younger people, three out of four deaths from heart diseases are just due to
smoking. Therefore, smoking cigarettes will cause negative effects to our health
such as cancers and illness.
Next ,a smoker will get addictive to smoking. A smoking addiction means a
person has formed an uncontrollable dependence on cigarettes to the point
where stopping smoking would cause several emotional, mental, or physical
reactions. Nicotine that contain in the cigarettes will cause the person addicted
to smoking. Besides that, nicotine is also a psychoactive drug with stimulant
effects on the electrical activity of the brain. It also has calming effects, especially
at times of stress, as well as effects on hormonal and other system throughout
the body. By chances, there are about one in three smokers who don’t stop smoking eventually die. While also eventually quit smoking usually tries to two
or three times before they’re successful. But based on statistics, there are only
2.5 percent o smokers successfully quit each year. Therefore, the smokers will
easily get addicted to smoking cigarettes and its difficult for them to give up
smoking.
Finally, a smokers creates financial problems when he or she chooses to
buy cigarettes instead of necessities. Smokers do not keep track of how many
packs of cigarettes they buy. Therefore, they di not realize how much they spend
a year. According to, Tobaccocontrol.com, the average smoker spends $118 a
month on cigarettes. The total spent is $1416 a year or more. It also cost
Americans $50 billion dollars in medical care each year. Non-smokers don’t have
a chance of being hospitalized due to smoking-related illness, which saves them
more money. Smoking can also cause the average person to go bankrupt.
Smoker many times deal with psychological problems when dealing with
addiction to nicotine. Therefore, smoking will cause financial aid.
In a nutshell, smoking is a serious problem which faced by every country.
Tobacco-related diseases are some of the biggest killer in the world today and
Are cited as one of the biggest causes of premature death in industrialized
Countries. Governments should deter people from smoking with anti-smoking
campaigns in mass media stressing the harmful long-term effects of smoking.
Furthermore, citizens should support the anti smoking campaigns and students
should get further education on the negative effects of smoking.
