It is an undeniable fact that communication is important in advertising. The word of mouth can be powerful and viral despite if the information is positive or negative, when it travels on the Internet (Mohr 18). It allows followers to exchange their point of views and share their experiences. Social media connects fashion brands with consumers in a way that it develops a certain sort of relationship between them and spread the word of mouth over the Internet in relatively short period of time. For example, the twenty seconds video of Gucci’s new women fragrance called “Gucci Bamboo” has generated over three millions of views on youtube in just two days and over one millions of tweets from followers all around the world. This way of engaging consumers was not possible with traditional advertising and it is efficient in a way that it attracts potential…

I agree with the innovative ways of Snapchat. I personally find myself spending more time on Snapchat than watching TV. Before reading this article, I did not even realize that in a way I have begun to associate Snapchat in the same category as TV. The fact that Snapchat has been able to make such a deep change within the lives of people within my generation, likely without many of us even realizing it, is astonishing. Snapchat is clearly being tenacious as the company is very determined to grip tight on the media industry as they have so clearly already dominated the messaging app industry. In my opinion, this can be seen through messaging apps such as Facebook and Instagram, now having options that copy Snapchat's innovative functions, such as submitting stories. This week we are on the topic of aggressiveness and tenacity. As I scan through the Wall Street Journal week after week, I am constantly seeing great things from this company that certainly fit this week's topic. Snapchat is so innovative and so self-aware, that the company is clearly defining what the consumer wants. As discussed in class, other companies such as Google and Amazon have taken similar actions. I would not be surprised if Snapchat does not stop here and continues…

So, Spiegel had created his contribution to the business world while still at Stanford, which is located 35 miles South San Francisco, but he continues to work on the Snapchat from his home in Las Angeles, California. We can infer that Spiegel must have seen potential in the idea that was once just a school project because he used his passion for Photoshop to make this thought a…
