Cha-Ching! There is nothing like the sound of hearing your new sneakers being rung up. The history of sneakers started 3,000 years old! Today they are very popular. The popularity of sneakers has grown. Sneakers first started in 1868, and now converse have grown popular and we now have people known as “sneaker heads.” Sounds like stores are rolling in the big bucks. To begin with, sneakers were first introduced 3,000 years ago. They were known as “rubber-soled shoes.” The sneakers were made from sap. In the text titled “The history of sneakers” the author says “They tapped white sap from rubber trees to make flexible waterproof footwear.” The popularity of sneakers grew as they improved. Some people have came so obsessed they are known as “sneaker heads.” Sneaker heads buy, trade, sell, and talk about sneakers. The craze started in the 1970’s. Today sneaker heads attend auctions, listen to online sneaker talk shows and go to conventions. The passage called “Calling all sneaker heads” it had stated “ They listen to online sneaker talk shows and use social media to share news about upcoming releases. They take part in auctions and browse boutique sneaker stores. In addition sneaker heads attend large conventions. You could make a profit if you had something an sneaker head really wanted. This concludes the finale point on the popularity of sneakers.

All in all, sneakers have become very popular. The popularity has grown through the years. Sneakers were first introduced 1868,then converse have now become very popular, and we now have sneaker heads. They probably like to sing “these shoes were made for walking” even if that's not how it
