The “Cranes, and “snipers both have two main characters, who get separated in life and have to decide if he shall let one live after they have been separated by each others differences in war. The “sniper is about 2 young brothers who get separated by their differences in war. And sadly later on in the story one brother kills an old lady, plus the sniper on the other side of war. He then finds out that the man he just killed is his brother. So it has a lot of twists throughout the end of the story. “Cranes” theme is choosing friendship over war.

The conflict in the story is that there is another sniper on the rooftop across from him trying to kill him. He then tricks the other man and kills him with his sniper. At the end of the story he almost kills himself trying to find out the identity of the sniper man he just killed. He then sadly finds out that he just killed his brother. So the theme is that war was not worth separating his family and killing his own flesh and blood.
In conclusion both stories are about war changing ones life and that friends and family Come first. In the “Cranes” the idea Is that Songsam understood Tokchae and
