There was the classic red carpet, fancy attire, fans trying to get a glimpse of the famous Walt Disney (Scollon 75-76). Just as Walt had hoped, and unlike his haters’ expectations, everyone loved the movie. The crowds laughed, gasped, and cried in all of the right places, and when the movie was done, they gave a standing ovation. Something that shocked other companies even more was when Snow White and the Seven Dwarves broke attendance records- the movie made eight million dollars, and the tickets were only 23 cents (Scollon 76-77)! Merchandise was abundant in stores, the songs played on the radio, and full-length movies were now the future. Walt was able to pay back everything he owed, plus gained more money.
