At the ski slopes everybody likes ease of use and quick access to the slopes. All types are designed for skiers in mind. The same mindset occurs along with the other types of technology at the resorts. Snowboarding, on the other hand, is hard to learn and initially frustrating. It is most common for young ones to start on skis and transfer to snowboarding later if they desire it. First, the lifts are much easier for younger kids to start on skis since the direction of travel is facing forward; snowboarding is more difficult since the feet are perpendicular to the direction they’re moving off the lift and on the slope. Parents love this in case the child needs help to move along or with aid in getting on or off the lift. Next, the use of poles for skiing, not an option for snowboarding, allows both improved balance as well as stability. Poles allow the skier to propel themselves forward on flat terrain, rather than being dragged along by their parents. Lastly, the snow gear for skiing is easier to manage without the need for constant complex bindings
