There are many different beliefs about who started of Soccer. According to soccer expert, Stewart Coggin, in the article “Who Invented Soccer?” Historic artifacts and enduring traditions make it clear that football has been played in Egypt, Ancient China, and Rome as far back as 2500 B.C. The game’s basic principles survived through the years and went on to be played during the medieval times. It can be said that English people in general were the ones who kept the tradition of football alive during the Middle Ages. A very popular form of the sport in the mid-14th Century England is called mob football. It was played by an unlimited number of players. At that point, there was still no one who created football rules. Players were allowed to go on playing as long as their actions did not lead to manslaughter. They played the games on the streets and turned towns into giant fields. Since anyone can join in the games and there were very few rules, medieval football often went out of hand and ended in riots. The ball is placed in the center of the field with one team in possession of the ball and all players must be on their own half of the field. It is used at the start of the game, the start of second half, the start of each period of extra time, if used, and after a goal it scored. A throw-in is taken when the ball crosses a sideline and leaves the field. A corner kick is taken when the ball is kicked out the field across the goal line by a defensive player. The soccer kick is the essence of association football (soccer). This move is performed in every single game of football all over the world, whether it’s professional or amateur. There are two main ways of classifying kicks in soccer; the free kick and kicks in general play. The free kick occurs when a player impedes one of the laws of the game and the opposing team are therefore awarded a ‘free kick’ without the other team touching the ball and must be a certain distance away from the ball and the player who is kicking it. The kicks in general play are very OPEN skills as there are countless different scenarios when it comes to the soccer pitch. The free kick is somewhat CLOSED because of the ball being stationary on the ground however the distance and environment is still very unpredictable. The soccer kick is a GROSS MOTOR skill as I will show further in the report almost all the muscle groups will be utilised and activated. The soccer kick is also a SERIAL skill; the run up, striking of the ball and follow through all come into play.…
