Yunus Centre is proud to announce the launch of the 4th Annual Social Business Plan Competition 2013. This competition is designed for university level students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and creativity to generate solutions for pressing social problems in a business way-the Social Business way! As Professor MuhammadYunus points out, today’s generation of young people are more aware of social problems than ever before. With the power of technology at their fingertips, our young change makers possess all it takes to make an impact on their societies.So here is your chance to come up with ideas and business plans that will help fight a particular social problem.
Theme: Employment generation through Social Business
We are asking students to design a promising social business which will create employment for unemployed youth/beggars/street dwellers/ homeless people or create entrepreneurial activities; starting their own business so that they can lead dignified and meaningful lives. Instructions and Information
Teams: Each team must comprise of a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 members all of who must be currently registered students of universities. Format: Please use the attached template to complete your social business plan. Please include a cover page with the name of your project and the names and email addresses of each member of the team. Please include an executive summary of your social business idea. Please submit your social business plan write-up in MS Word/PDF format by the stated deadline.
