Social Changes During The 14th And 15th Century

During the renaissance era, there were major social changes that occurred. Although the 14th and 15th century had many struggles, there were still positive aspects that came ahead. As portrayed in chapter twelve it states "After the severe economic reversals and social upheavals of the fourteenth century, the European history economy graduallyym recovered as the volume of manufacturing and trade increased." Since commercial and trade workers expanded, it further led to the Medici family becoming a powerful banking center in Europe. Subsequently, the society was categorized into three estates which were the clergy, the nobility and the peasants. Another significant factor were the families and the marriages that was sortes by the parenta which
interpret how the dowry identified whether the woman was marrying on a high or low rank. Overall, these changes were not a rejection of medieval trends due to the fact that the same class structure was used in the middle ages. For instance, slavery existed for a long time throughout the modern ages and the amount of blacks grew in Europe since thousands of slaves were being sold in fairs such as the Venetian market.
