Although middle school is a time for expanding your learning and intellectual growth. It is also a time for social changes as well as emotional and physical changes. With the joining of other schools, it paves the way for new friendships and experiences. Coming into middle school kids are introduced to many thing like sex, drugs, alcohol, and bullying as well as people from different walks of life. As students make relationships and find their friend group they are making identity for himself while are trying to find who they are they look to friends, peer approval for what behaviors are acceptable and not as well as observing other. They notice certain thing and that is when stereotyping can come and labeling. Labeling of others can be hurtful
and be counted as bullying. Middle schoolers are already insecure of themselves directly because there emotions and hormones are running high. Puberty is setting in with biological maturity, “breast development in girls; facial hair in boys” which can make middle school kids feel awkward that is why they call it the awkward stage. While there body's are going so are there minds they are coming up with moral judgment and personal values. They are developing from adolescence to young adults. High school is grades 9th -12th ages 14-19. The graders are know by freshman being 9th grade, 10th is sophomore, 11th is juniors, and 12th is senior. High school is an carshal time what you do with the information you have been given from elementary and middle school is put into place here. Doing well in high school with make you successful in life by getting into college and getting a good job but if students decide to slack off their likelihood of being employed at McDonald's increases.
