CHAPTER I
Introduction
Over 70% of the planet is covered by water. (75% of that is salt water, only leaving a 25% as fresh water which can be used for consumption. 70% of the fresh water of our planet is still frozen in the icecaps of Antarctica and Greenland; while the remaining percentage is present as soil moisture, or it lies underground as groundwater.
Main Problem
How can the seawater be utilized for the consumption of different organisms?
Sub problems
How will the results of the said project be verified?
Would the said experiment be as efficient as the RO process commonly done?
Would the experiment be more likely to use less energy than the RO process?
Significance of the Study
Since saline water is not efficient to support life, and the world has still a growing population, it will be processed to be able to provide the needs of life.
Hypotheses
Null Hypothesis: The said experiment/s will not purely desalinate, and the result would not be sanitized or useful in any ways for organisms.
Alternative Hypothesis: The said experiment/s will have a result of a sanitized water that is able to provide for the lifestyle of organisms.

What is Salt Water?
Salt water (or salt-water or saltwater) most often means the water from the seas and oceans. This type of water is also called sea water. Salt water used for making or preserving food is usually called brine.
When scientists measure salt in water, they usually say they are testing the salinity of the water: salinity is measured in parts per thousand or ppt.

What is Desalination?
Desalination is a process that removes salts and other dissolved solids from brackish water or seawater. Sometimes, the term for the process is spelled desalinization; other times, it is referred to as desalting or is shortened to desalt. This publication will use desalination (Buros, 2000).
What will be the role of this process?
