The Good Effects on Social Media
Social Networks have really changed my school dedication and grades. First, I always stay updated in these types of social networks, and all it does is waste my time. I spend countless hours on these websites and I don’t get anything done. Staying up late also affects my education because I stay up really late and I don’t get enough sleep. Therefore, I’m either late for school or I get to school tardy. Also, I don’t get my homework assignments done and that really affects my grade. Lastly, the networks are ruining my social life because I don’t have time to do many things with my family, for example, I waste most of my free time on the computer. Because of the social networks my grades have dropped and school is becoming much harder because of that. In conclusion, I believe that I should focus more time on the important things like school, family, and friends.
The participants and audience for SNSs is growing rapidly. Statistics published become quickly out dated and it is interesting to observe both the international and national trends of Internet usage generally over the years, as well as those specific to the use of Social Networking Sites.

Access to technology has become an integral part of education, socialisation and industry related requirements, and accordingly Internet usage is evolving and growing rapidly. A survey conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statics in 2003 found that in the 12 months prior to April 2003, 95% of Australian children, aged between five and fourteen years had used a computer. The frequency of their usage increased with the age of the survey respondents. In 2006, 63% of Australian dwellings had access to the internet compared to only 35% in 2001. In December 2009 there were 9.1 million active internet subscribers in Australia, with 90% of these subscribers having a sophisticated broadband connection.
Communication is an essential part of the human life when it comes to interacting and developing our society. Ever since we can remember we have used communications on different forms: sign language, body language, signal language and written language. Today however we have taken communicating to a new level, another form of written language: social media and social networking. This sensation affects us i numerous of ways and nowadays we can access it at all times, because we are carrying it with out at all times: through our cellphones. The phenomenon social media is like a coin with two sides: it has both negative and positive consequences.

As mentioned before social media has created a new way to communicate with people from all around the world: communications has been simplified. Never before has it been easier to meet new people and build up new relations with all kinds of people. Through social media it is simple to keep in touch with old friends without even leaving your own home. Social media also creates an opportunity to bring people with common interests together. It also helps people who have a difficulty communicating in person are more comfortable interacting via the Internet.
No one can argue with the fact that social media does have a positive impact on the society, but as mentioned before there are always two sides of a coin. Social media does indeed have a positive affect on the world, but there will always be cons to break it down.

Firstly, as mentions before, social media distracts people, and sometimes a distraction is just what one might need. But it might sometimes create a distraction from what we are supposed to do in our workplace or in school. It is often argued if social media should be allowed in these environments and that is a never ending discussion.
