LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Social Service Learning and Development division provides a range of learning and development opportunities which includes developing your competency and pursuing your interest by being a part of interest groups where you are able to learn from the peers and establish more bonds through such industry networks. Additionally, this division provides a series of talks and seminars conducted by both local and international in varied areas related to the sector. Recently, the learning and development division established Research in Evidence based Practice (REP) to spear head research and evaluation that would help professionals in the sector to acquire competencies in innovative social service practices, methods and intervention

Learning Events
Learning & Development division at Social Service Institute offers thought leadership sessions conducted by local and international experts which are conducted in partnership with Institute of Higher Learning or Organisation or Independent Speakers, who have expertise in leadership, volunteerism, mental health, eldercare etc. These sessions offers highly intensive learning experience where the learners are able to understand best practices in the sector, develop know-how on how that can be contextualised to their setting and develop network with individuals of similar interest.

The quality audit process includes system-evidence-outcome (SEO) approach in the evaluation of the CIR criteria. SEO offers a strong correlation between sound systems and the quality of outcomes.
