We should know the importance of anthropology and Sociology in our lives because:

1. To know the past and the present society for us to grow. 2. It is important for us to study anthropology and sociology to be able to know if our society is meeting its standards for maintaining its sustainability. 3. We should be updated on what’s happening in our society nowadays so that we can change the negative into positive ones. 4. We should know the history of our society because it can be a basis of building our standards for a better society. 5. Having a knowledge concerning and about the foundations of society is important. We should understand the human nature and our similarities and differences for us to have a unity in our society. 6. Race and ethnicity continue to be important elements in our lives because it serves as a framework of individual identities, community actions, and cultural meanings. Understanding these elements is very important because we can learn how to respect each other. 7. We should know the relationship between religion and society. Studying the religious influences on both social stability and change or revolution is important in exploring the tension between religion and existing socioeconomic and political orders. 8. We should analyze the social causes and consequences of environmental change and we should be aware in the relationship among production, consumption, population, technology, and environment to have a balance society. 9. We should explore the relationship between law and justice in our society and culture. Sociologists have now drawn the attention of economists regarding the social factors that have contributed to the economic backwardness of a few countries. Economists have now realized the importance of sociological knowledge in analyzing the economic affairs of country. 25. Sociology is useful as a teaching subject too. Sociology is a profession in which technical competence brings its own rewards. Sociologists, especially those trained in research procedures, are in increasing demand in business, Government, industry, city planning, race relations, social work, social welfare, supervision, advertising, communications, administration, and many other areas of community life. A few years ago, sociologists could only teach sociology in schools and colleges. But sociology has now become practical enough to be practiced outside of academic halls, areas of application of sociology in schools and colleges. Careers apart from teaching are now possible in sociology, which are coming more international levels. 26. Another aspect of the practical side of sociology is the study of great social institutions and the relation's of individuals of each one of them. The home and family, the school and education, the state and government, industry and work, religion and morality, marriage and family, law and legislation, property and government etc. are some of the main institutions, through which our society functions. More than that, they condition our life in countless ways. Knowledge of sociology may help to strengthen them to serve man better. 27. Before the emergence of sociology, there was no systematic and scientific attempt to study human society with all its complexities. 1. A look at sincere and brave reform of the Police force to improve security. We all know inward flow of Investments, tourism et al suffer when security is poor. We need leaders who will place the security of Nigeria as a non-negotiable priority instead of those, first and foremost, driven by the notion of keeping our NPF as it is so they gain a force they can always control and use partisanly. This idea, simplistically, will benefit many public organisations because it is about making institutions stronger and thus ensuring they deliver as orignally concieved. 2. A comprehensive overhaul of the education sector is in order too. Nothing predisposes a nation to failure more than a poorly educated adult population unable to think critically, troubleshoot and provide solutions plus challenge misrule unanimously and effectively. 3. rigorously and thoroughly re-orient the ppl of his country. Massive orientation programmes should move into action or else the naija mindset will never change and in twenty years we'll be back to square one 4. Ban all secret societies and tthroughly eradicate them off the face of this nation 5.
