The first theorist that the film reminds me of Marx, through his theory of class struggle. When I think of global warming, no one really hears the issues of global warming from those directly affected by it the most. In the film they are speaking on the pieces of their society failing due to the class gap. The majority of people do not listen to people that issues are directly affecting the people. Mills speaks of the social idiot, the person who only thinks of themselves. The social idiot, according to Mills only looked at singular issues, only affecting himself. “The idiot” has no social imagination, through social imagination, this how we can solve the issue of global warming, to most this is just an issue of global warming, but it is much bigger. The social imagination tells us to care about global warming, but to make sure we think about the connections of this problem and society’s problem. People need to have a social imagination to end global warming, society has to realize that global warming is the reason why an entire community might have to go without, or have to uproot their home and culture due to a global wide
