lntroduction
Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is a patterned use of a drug in which the user consumes the substance in amounts or with methods which are harmful to themselves or others, and is a form of substance related disorder. Widely differing definitions of drug abuse are used in public health, medical and criminal justice contexts. We’re all aware of person who abuse drugs in particularly alcohol and how they behave after they are fully intoxicated. Alcohol is one of the most abuse drugs worldwide based on research conducted.
Many studies and surveys have been carried out to investigate issue that has been affecting individuals why they would want to turn to drugs which gave a result of 60% because of stress, 30% due to personal leisure and 10 % other reasons. The church and other family institutions as tried to give support as it relates to counseling and family advice. The researcher as chosen this topic due to the fact that he would like to understand the different factors that influence family members to turn to substance abuse. The researcher as also noticed that the abusers of drugs sometimes abuses there family members when they become intoxicated by it due to the fact that they are unconscious. A few questionnaire will be given to members of the community for their honest response to help the researcher to investigate how the impact of alcoholism on families in the community of Mount Rosser.
