Soda Vs Soda
The solution is that the companies should make the customers understand, not what the other companies understand, and they should label that it is harmful and show it clearly to the customers, to let the customers know that they are taking their own risk. Another solution is that they can reduce the sugar in a soda and try to come up with a healthy and tasty soda that the individuals will love, that way they could gain more costumers and it would be a great success for those companies.

Coke and Pepsi have always been rival beverages for decades. I can remember my teens when most households would divide into two when it came to choosing their choice of drink, especially when going for grocery shopping. Even the advert aired by both brands shows a lot of rivalries between them. When one makes a new product, the other would do everything possible to make something similar or better than the former. Making people, both old and young believe their product is the best. When comparing the two beverages, there’s a major thing we normally notice from their commercials, while Coca-Cola Company uses families and animal in most of their commercial ads relating to peoples society, Pepsi Company uses different super stars and celebrities to sell their product worldwide. However, as coke uses their ethos in targeting both the old and young generation, Pepsi target mostly today’s youth in their adverts.…

Would you rather drink soda or juice? I would prefer to drink juice even though it’s not that healthy, but it’s better than soda. I say that because, soda can make you break you out on your skin and also can damage your kidneys, such as kidney stones because of the phosphoric acid in the soda. The soda law introduced by Mayor Bloomberg to ban the sale of sodas larger than 16 fl. oz. at restaurants across the city will have zero to minimal economic impact on people who are currently buying them. The soda ban will have an extremely small net positive economic impact on businesses. In my opinion, making paid more taxes to somebody for having a soda it won't solve the problem but it will only help a little. It does not seems fear allowing other people to binge-eat ‘comfort’ foods full of salts, fats and sugar after a large greasy pizza isn’t logical or fair. Worse, this would have to become a classic slippery-slope situation: if we’re no longer trusted to make our own dietary choices regarding soda without financial coercion, there’s little chance that we’d continue to be trusted to make decisions regarding far more important physical matter. But I Think Soda is an addiction for anyone and we need to do something about it, starting for educating more our society about the problems and consequences.…

“More than half of adult New Yorkers are obese or overweight, according to the city’s health department, which said it believed 5,000 New Yorkers died every year as a result of health problems related to obesity” (Grynbaum). This mind-boggling statistic is what lead the mayor propose a soda ban that would limit the size of soda that could be sold. This ban, in an effort to fight obesity, would discourage people from buying larger sodas by banning the sale of sodas of more than 16 oz. Although this proposed soda ban may seem like a great plan to stop obesity and promote health, the soda ban will not be beneficial in the long run to lower Americans’ risk of Obesity or even promote health, and there are also more effective ways of promoting health and fighting Obesity.…
