Softball Persuasive Essay
We get what life hands us and sometimes it is good, but sometimes it is bad. A great activity offered by schools is softball and I am very thankful for that. First, softball makes a big difference in health. Second, we can get a good scholarship by playing softball and if we are a good enough player. Last, if we play softball, we are able to get physical with the other players. As can be seen, it is a good thing schools give us the opportunity to have all these great activities. First of all, softball really improves our health a lot. When we go up to swing the bat and we swing really hard, it works our arm muscles and makes us stronger. All we do in softball is run laps. We hit the ball we get to run the bases or if the ball is hit by another player we have to run to it to catch the ball, sometimes we do not get to catch it. If we practice we have to run the fence three times before practice is over which is not fun. When I play softball I am not allowed to have pop, the only things I am aloud to drink is water or Gatorade. I am fine with drinking either of those because they are both good and healthy. If we have been playing a sport for a long and we take it serious then we have a really good chance of getting a scholarship because we may be really good. We have to play good and work hard. When we play a good team they will usually be scouts there and scouts are people who watch us play to see how good we are. If they think your good enough player for his/her team then they will ask for our parent's number or just straight up ask if we want to be on their team. All in all, these are the reasons to how we can get a good

Honestly, I like to think of baseball as an indefinite chess match, and you can sit there and try to take pieces early in the game or you can let your master plan kind of evolve and if you go out and get these big name pitcher and hitters who are 28-29 in the prime of their career and give them these 7-8 year contracts worth 200 million dollars. Well in that fifth, sixth, seventh year. They start breaking down and you’re paying them 20-30 million dollars a year and you can’t put enough good pieces around a single player to make up for…

One of the most important lessons that softball helped me perfect is teamwork. Teamwork makes the dream work, and it is the secret that makes common people achieve an uncommon result. Another vital factor is time management because everyone knows nothing good comes from being late or taking too long. In softball and life, communication is the key to success. My communication skills have been enhanced due to needing to be constantly heard and to avoid misinterpretation on and off the field. Softball can either make or break you, but it can also teach you important things you can carry on in…

I choose to play softball because i want to be athletic and i enjoy playing softball because it is fun and i can see most of my friends that i don't go to school with. I choose to play to represent my team and my family. “Softball is my sport and i love to play softball with my friends and family. The negative effects of playing softball are that people can cheat and the Boys that walk around can tell you “let’s go smoke” and encourage to do drugs and miss practice. They might say, let go walking or go cruising. Then you can't go to allstars if you miss practice or games.…

Growing up I played baseball to me baseball was everything i could think of. i couldn't wait to the weekend so i could put on that dirty uniform and pick up the new bat and nice leather glove and play baseball. When i was young i played in a big park in NYC where everyone saw you play so as i grew up everyone expected me to continue playing baseball and get better and work hard my mother always signed me up for baseball and i met a lot of coaches who help me gain more talent throughout the years. So as i grew up baseball started to be more and more of a priority to me i went to baseball practice two times a week one during the week and one on the weekend and with baseball practice i attended a baseball program which is twice a week meaning less and less time for homework and time to study. that being said i believe that time management and dealing with less and less sleep is the biggest problem with high school sports.…

Nearly 65% of children say they participate in sports to be with their friends (Statistic Brain). Sports were established so that the individual could not only exercise, but also to compete against a rival. Just as there are individual sports, there are team sports in high school. The idea of a team sport is that every single person on the field or court must work in unison to have the greatest opportunity to win. In addition to the increasing popularity of sports, the average child’s age when they join a team is decreasing. For example, the age that a child joins a basketball team has shifted from fourth grade to first grade or even kindergarten in the past decade. School is the primary factor when you review the participation in athletics,…

One reason high school sports aren’t beneficial is because they create a lot of pressure. According to the video “Do Athletes Face Unnecessary Parent Pressure?” by KCRA, sports are sometimes the only way students can get into a good college and be able afford it. This puts a lot of pressure on the athletes to perform at their best 100% of the time. Experts say that your child's entire team will suffer if the parents are pressuring their kids (KCRA.com, “Do Athletes Face Unnecessary Parent Pressure?” ). This fact is important because it proves, when parents put pressure on their children it does not benefit them, in fact it is actually setting them up for life in an unhealthy way. This shows that the pressure from sports is not good and not worth it.…

Hearing the crowd scream as the stunt hits gets the adrenaline pumping to push through the routine and fight for the stunts. Can you guess what “sport” is being talked about? Well it’s cheerleading. Yes cheerleading is really a sport even though many people will argue it. Cheerleaders that are seen at the New England Patriots are sideline cheerleaders and do not show the physical aspect of cheerleading like competitive cheerleaders do. Although cheerleading is not seen as an official sport it is because cheerleading takes a lot of physical activity to preform and put a routine together, competition and sideline cheerleading are two different…

Many people have argued that, “Should we ban high school football?” One of the main reason’s why we should outlaw the sport is due to head injuries, or injuries in general. Now granted, we cannot protect kids 24/7. Injuries in sports are just common things that occur. We can only do our best to prevent children from hurting themselves.…

I have been playing softball for my school’s team for the past three years. My father had always encouraged me to be active, and get back into softball. Even though I was reluctant, I still tried out. I am going to be blunt: I was terrible. I lacked the skills necessary to be on the team, and because of that I did not make it on the team. Instead of being sad and embarrassed, I decided to take action. I decided to think of creative ways to get better.…

One question that I am very familiar with that I know can lead to continuous arguments is this: “Aren’t baseball and softball the same thing?”. Many people believe that they are pretty much the same thing. Other people think that they are very different, and many of those people think that one sport is better than the other. I am going to go into deeper detail about the two sports to see how alike and different they are.…

Softball runs in my blood, my dad played softball, my uncle played softball, my cousins’ play softball; it seemed as though almost every I knew played softball. I knew how to swing a bat before I knew how to walk. My dad and I would go to the batting cages just about every Sunday. I had previous played for the local team in my area but I wanted to be able to share the sport my family and I loved with the school I love. And although the friendships on the travel team were amazing, I could only imagine how great it would be to share this great sport with the people at my school. I thought all I would have to do is talk to the athletic director to get a team started, little did I know all the work and dedication that was going to be have to put…
