Solar Energy

All life on Earth depends on energy from the sun. Solar energy is the source of

energy for photosynthesis. It provides the warmth necessary for plants and animals to

survive. Scientists have found a way to use God's natural light towards the advantage

of our daily lives. The affects of this idea revolutionary, results of solar power could

lead to a more modernized society and efficient economy.

Solar energy is a term that usually means the direct use of sunlight to produce

heat or electric power. Solar technology is improving rapidly. Someday, it may

provide a clean and abundant source of power. Solar energy is a very useful resource.

Today 80% of the energy we use comes from fossil fuels and about 1% comes from

solar energy. Fossil fuels are nonrenewable, that means that they are used up faster

than they could be replaced. Also fossil fuels limited and cause pollution.

Recently, there has been talk about creating a whole livable society in which all

essential sources of man-made energy, which is virtually pollution-free and affordable,

seems impossible. Although such a concept seems like science fiction today, real efforts

are underway to assure that by the late 21st century, what once seemed like a dream, will

soon be reality. Cars will soon have no use for fuel and will be powered by solar energy.

There are also plans to manufacture solar powered homes. By doing this families can

cut electricity bills in half and be able to live more efficient lives. The issue of "what

happens when night falls?" has already been addressed. Scientists have developed a

way to convert the energy absorbed by the sun in the daylight to a rechargeable

battery when night falls. So when the sun shines the next morning, it is a recycling

process.

However, even though solar power has its advantages, some scientists argue

it's Disadvantages. The sun's energy is

Most of the energy we use is from the sun. This energy from the sun is called solar energy, plants convert it into energy, and animals eat plants and convert that into energy. Humans eat plants and animals and convert those into energy; humans also use solar energy to create electricity. How exactly then is the sun’s energy converted into a sustainable energy source? One process is photosynthesis.…

Solar energy is what keeps us all alive. The earths temperature is retained from the light and heat taken from the sun. how easily solar energy is converted into light energy is important. The Photovoltaic effect is a process through which the PV cells transfers light into electricity. sunlight is made of photons. these photons contain different amounts of energy. When they strike a PV cell, they reflect, absorb and pass right through. when a photon is absorbed, it turns into electrical energy. This energy is transferred to an electron in the semiconductor. then the escaped electron becomes a part of the electrical circuit which then provides the necessary voltage needed to drive electrical current into a light bulb. We all know that the new technologies will bring us more methods to conserve solar energy into…

Solar energy is one of most popular energy sources around the world. this is because it us conveniently to obtainable, as well as space efficient. It doesn’t take up a lot space and give superb energy. The sun is one of the most reliable energy sources on this planet. This is because the sun has been predicted to stay “alive” for many million years to come. It’s radiation also does not fluctuate from day to day like other sources of energy. Solar energy is most commonly harvested through solar panels that are usually faced so that they receive the most optimal sunlight. There are many uses for solar energy.…

Solar Energy is an underrated renewable energy source. We should be looking to make advances to become more dependent on renewable energy sources such as solar energy. The more we rely on these new energy sources the more carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and other greenhouse gases we could eliminate from the air which will help ensure a clean and safe environment for future generations. In addition, it could aid America to depend less on other countries for energy sources such as coal, petroleum, fossil fuels, and oil. Renewable energy sources could result in riding the countries worry of running out of natural energy sources. It can dramatically reduce your electricity bills, add value to your home, and potentially make you money. However, renewable energy lags far behind natural resources we should advocate and invest in advancing the technology and uses of solar energy.…
