BS ITTM/III-A Reaction Paper: Amadeus TRAINING and EXAM

Amadeus examination is very important to a tourism student like me. It will be a great accent on my resume.
Before taking the exam, few hours were allotted for teaching, training and guiding headed by our instructor to prepare us for the exam. We have our own computer but during the discussion, some computers were not responding well. Exercises were implemented to prove whether we are learning or not. As far as I can remember I paid attention and made sure that I listened well enough and executed all the steps correctly. But I guess things didn’t go well with me. My Amadeus exam outcome was shocking. I don’t know what I did wrong. I was really surprised when I saw the result. I don’t know but, maybe there’s a problem or error in my computer, just maybe. I just didn’t expect that I failed. I do know to myself that I did it right. I have done all the steps and procedures correctly, not perfectly but I know I did right just like what I did in all our exercises.
Regardless of failing the Amadeus exam, it doesn’t really matter to me, what matter is that I know now on how to book a flight and aside from that have gained knowledge once more and in addition I have learned what travel agents do. In some way I am contented, I am now familiar in the field of booking and ticketing. When time comes for a job interview, even though I don’t have a certification on Amadeus, I am very much willing to undergo training just to prove that I am worthy to be hired without that certificate. I believe that my passion and dedication to work are more than enough compared to

The poem “Pass/Fail” by Linda Pastan addresses exam anxiety. In the poem the author talks about examination dreams. These dreams are a reflection on the individual’s lack of confidence and incapability to advance to the next stage in life. In the dreams no matter what a person do, the answer is always wrong and he or she is guaranteed to fail in the dream. In real life, one either pass an exam or fail it. If one fails, they can often retake the exam and pass it. However, no matter what a person do, they are never going to escape from their examination dreams. These dreams will continue throughout their life.…

So I downloaded some new pictures regarding my subject and topic that day. My topic was ‘Computer Hardware’. My idea was to tell the peers about the back ground work of the machine. Because every body knows and I also do believe that inside of the computer is completely different than the out side, it is more complex and interesting. My emphasis was the introduction to the hardened parts of the computer which are found inside the machine, but more of that I concentrated on Hard Disc, its structure functioning, make, different parts, caring, structure, etc. the lecture did really very fine, done some of the activities also, first I asked the students to please give a feed back about there own knowledge about the hard disk, what they know? What do they want to know? What have they learned? All of them wrote down what they know and wanted to learn as well as what they learned. The slides went really very well, and with the basic knowledge of the equipment, every thing went fine, second activity was about the marking of the hard disk parts, on the simple paper with the picture of the hard disc. All the participants did some of the markings. In the end the lecture went fine, but I did took little bit more time to finish. The trainer was very happy with the lecture; she gave some remarks also, about how to…

Finally, you should review the lesson in time and do more extra exercise. Many normal students just review the lesson before the exam. It is not enough to get the good mark. You should remind the knowledge after every class; before you sleep you can recall the knowledge that you learnt on the day. In addition, it is not adequate to write the answer promptly in the exam by just doing the homework. You need to look for extra exercises and do it, which can reinforce your knowledge.…

During my graduating year of elementary, I applied for the entrance test of the Ateneo de Manila High school. When I received my letter of admission from Ateneo, I was happy but not surprised. Going into my first year of high school in Ateneo, I was filled with excitement and pride. I was one of top students in my batch back in my old school, there was nothing standing in my way on my road to excellence in this new school. Alas I was wrong. I tried being laid back in studying to the point that I don’t study at all and just listened to the teacher. The day of my first long test came and the moment I looked at the paper, I knew I was going to fail. I was not prepared and the least I could do was to brace myself for the worst. When I got the paper back, even though I knew I was going to fail, I was shocked. Out of fifty I got a fourteen. This score translated to an F1 in my mid-term marks. My parents, grandmother and even my previous teachers were shocked. My world changed…

I passed this course with flying colours because I learned to study smarter, not necessarily harder. I now realise that I haven’t always studied correctly. When I started this course, I thought I knew exactly what terms such as “competitive advantage” and “positioning” meant…but I soon found out that I had so much to learn. I have made mistakes, but as Hugh White said "When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power."…
