Solomon Schechter
Most schools have a set of expectation that they center their school around. One essential expectation for the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester is having outstanding faculty and administration, as they put a lot of effort into ensuring that the faculty at the school is what fits their standards. Schechter does this so our teachers will inspire us to follow in their foot steps of getting a great education while establishing close relationships. Pictures 1,9, and 16 represent the standards that Schechter has for their teachers: their teachers must be able to make good connections, and relate to the students at Schechter, as well as having degrees from elite schools.

Kay’s impressive education background. The blurb about Dr. Kay reveals that he went to Harvard and NYU, both really good schools. The title of this blurb is “Meet the Head of School”, by putting where he went to college before any other information, shows how schechter prioritizes good education when it comes to faculty and administration. Additionally, in the faculty biographies on the website, they are centered around where the educator received their degrees. Since our school flaunts that the head of our school has a good education, it shows that Schechter wants to send a message that they value getting a good education and having the best of the best when it comes to faculty and administration. Schechter wishes to prove to prospective families that if they send their children to Schechter, the school would make sure they are getting the best education from the best educators. It is important that Schechter specifies that they are concerned about helping their students get a good education, because it sets them apart from other schools.
