Abstract
After the president Mohamed Siad Barre was deposed in 1991, all hell broke out. This has lasted for 21 years in Somalia. Wars between the country's different parties have triggered each other. Today Somalia is a country that lives in total chaos. So what really happened during all these years and what was it that went completely wrong? In this essay I will describe the main problem. Who is involved? What does the current situation look like? How might we slow down or stop further crisis in Somalia?

It has been long a conflict in Somalia since the 1800's. The country has been divided between Italy and the UK. When the Colonial countries left, it caused significant instability in the country. After many regime and authority changes in the country, eventually general Mohammed Siad Barre in 1969 took control and charge of the country. Until the early 1990's when Barre was dictator, the country was under the circumstances feeling relatively well.
