Some Students Prefer to Study Alone While Others Prefer to Study in Groups
TOPIC: Some students prefer to study alone while others prefer to study in groups.

In my opinion the best method for success in school or university is the way of studying. Some prefer to study on the their own while others support the idea that sduying in groups gives better results. As far as I am concerned,I prefer the latter for the following reasons.
The first advantage of studying in group is that the student can save time. When students study alone, they have always go through the annoying process of gathering all the information they need. For example, last year I had to take part in a group for history classes.Working together enabled us to finish our project in a few days and present the information correctly to the rest of the class. Thus,we saved not only time but also were taught to be more tolerant and patient.
Secondly, studying in a group helps students concentrate on what they are doing.Keeping your mind on what you are studying turns out to be extremely challengable when studying alone. However studying with other students makes you feel responsible and be serious. When I study alone I can easily lose my concentration, especially if it is a subject I dislike and finally end up watching TV or surfing on the net.For that reason, taking part in a group requires responsibility and discipline which are benefitial for functioning in a school or work environment.
To conclude, studying is not an easy job and typically students dislike it.Despite, students can study successfully if they do it in a group. This way of studying is efficient not only because it helps saving time but also because it can teach us qualities which are needed for future development in career. In short,I recommend this way of studying for academic success.

Keeping in mind these principles and being aware of the motivating factors for my students I can endeavour to create an optimum teaching and learning environment for all of us. Good communication between teacher and students and between students means that group work flows well as instructions are well followed and easily understood. The purpose of this strategy would be to have the students work together to arouse curiosity and help them learn the material. Sometimes students will be more eager to learn if they are working within a small group setting. It gives them a more individualized approach to the material than in a whole class setting. They may be more motivated to participate within a small group setting. To apply this strategy, I would separate the students into multiple small groups of 3-4 students each. Then I would assign a worksheet or problem for them to work through together. They would then have an additional problem or worksheet to work on individually and when finished use peer review to review their work.…

Also group work doesn’t seem to go well in regular classes because it's more of a social hour rather than an actual study session. Furthermore individual work in regular classes helps get work done much quicker leading to no homework that night. Even so that individual work makes understanding the concept easier with less distractions. It works best in regular classes because majority of the class time is spent reviewing and starting the homework in class. Additionally the act of making decisions is much easier because it's your own opinion. In the end though you're the only one responsible for your work and the one that gets the credit. There's no worry of being taken advantage of.…
