Song Analysis: Just Like California
Just Like California is a song by the band, Old 97’s, a band created in the year, 1993. This song, on the album Too Far To Care, best represents me as a person because I don't like to do things half-hearted. To me, the lyrics, “halfway there just wouldn’t be fair, so I'm going all the way tonight,” mean that doing a half-hearted job of something wouldn't be the right way to do it, so I'm going to do it all the way. I do a lot of things that require commitment, such as homework and sports. When I do homework, I finish it and I try my best to get the best grade I can, and when I ride horses, I do my best. If something doesn't go well the first time, I try again to really be as focused as a camera, while fixing my mistake. Also, this song
